I've had the same experience -- exactly. But even the "junk" can be used.
I bought a 3/4 drive ratchet, what I wanted was something I could put
a piece of pipe on and make 1/2 drive impact sockets sweat. Third time
I used it I dropped it and it came apart. A little grinding and a good weld
by Jack, vola - a $9.95 breaker bar that's bullet proof.
