List -

I love the machinery of F1, but the racing is boring as hell. The wailing
sounds great, though. I read in Autoweek awhile back that one of the drivers
(I forget who), doesn't even own a driver's license or car! He really drives
for the money, not the love of driving. That seems wrong, weird even.

As for Allisons, Arfons switched for a reason, didn't he? And according to an
article in last years Air & Space Smithsonian there are very few people left
who build them, and the parts are getting tough to find.

LSR in school? Terrific idea - I was just a mere weanling when I learned of
the salt. Perhaps I would have gotten there before '98 if someone had provided
more info to inspire me further. Would anyone on the list be willing to
provide source materials, supplies, or just plain old dollars if there was a
place to send it? I would pony up in a second. Let's hear it!
