What would you base this on?? Do you mean short or small diameter. If short then
yes if small diameter then I have no clue what you are basing it on. Generally
modest diameter and long makes a very broad torque cure and short large pipes
the opposite. The 350 in question will not make over 440 hp on it's best day
with the heads that are there. A 1 3/4 is good for an easy 550 hp and no
nitrous. 31 inches ought to tune for a 4000 to 6000 rpm range. At least that is
what the few hundred or so pulls on the dyno have indicated.. The 3 1/2
collector is on the big side as well to boot. Putting big pipes on a small
engine will only slow it down and just become 'ductwork' to get the exhaust out
of the engine bay as opposed to doing some real worth while work.
