It seems to me that the use of light oils in the engine(5W-30, 0W-30)
and trans/diff(75W-90) go a long way toward eliminating the concern
about oil heating, especially in the hot weather of summer conditions at
Bonneville, El Mirage or ECTA.  A cold early morning situation might be
a little more of a concern.  Using these in my car with a preliminary
warm-up in the pits, I don't have any further worry about blasting off
down the course anytime later in the day, nor any indication that
anything negative happens. Bill
