The Nish liner is being driven by a gal as well and her run sounded very
smooth. There is a manual for drivers of that car that may be the most
demanding technical reading some drivers have ever had to do. Just shows
the detail that has gone into that whole project. The car shows it. Four
hour engine changes on the salt, the organization at the starting line, just
the fact that the car is always in line to run, first thing, at the
beginning of the meet. Then there's the quality of work and maintenance on
the car itself ... ready for Rodder's Journal to shoot pictures when they
finish work between runs. It's an impressive car any way you evaluate it.

Another car that is ready to run is the Ferguson Streamliner. They're
running a GMC six on nitro and it sounds STRONG. The body is a splash of
the 444 Vesco car. They are running three cars this meet and they all are
doing well.

Going through the pits, two things hit me; lots of empty spaces or people
packed and ready to go and the kind of relaxed but efficient work going on
in the rest of the pits. Gribble is an example. He broke something on his
run so he loaded the car and was headed East within a couple of hours.
Three other cars had parts neatly arranged, waiting for the one part they
had broken to arrive so they could re-assemble the car and get back in line
to run. No running around, just purposeful and efficient use of time
including catching up on sleep.

It's been a good meet!
