The next level of complexity is ..... Suck, Squeeze, Wiggle, Bang and
BLOW....  ( get your naughty mind outta the gutter )

Suck in air... squeeze it down in the axial stages of compression then the
single single stage of centrifical compression.... wiggle it around to the
combustor section... light it off once.... ( stays lit ).... send it through
the first stage of turbine blades to run the compressor section... and then
through the second set of turbine blades to run the output shaft.... and
blow the exhaust out the back......

Bout that simple.... metering the fuel based on demand is the tuning and
trimming fun.....

Disadvantage..... Slow acceleration / deceleration.... low initial torque
outputs ....Very suseptible to ingestion of nasty forgien objects which
damage finely machined parts....

Advantage.... Huge hp based on weight... and fewer moving parts to fail....
exceptional reliablity
