Rick,  I you are going to pull a very heavy trailer--I would get something with 
a longer wheelbase---
I would be suprised that you can get a big block "emmisioned in CA in the 82 
Blazer---I would look at GM's new 383 crate instead---that with the right gears 
and the correct size tires will pull pretty good---if you want to do and eng 
swap---get a 71 back 3dr surb or and old blazer---then its legal to do as I 
understad it

 Hey Guys I need some advice 

I have a 82 Blazer 4x4 that I want to turn into a push truck 
The truck has a 6.2 diesel I am looking at swapping it with 
possibly a 454 HO crate engine 425 hp 500 ft lb torque
