Being a little short of hair in one spot on the top of my head, plus
having a fair complexion (what once passed for red hair), I see the
dermatologist
and his little steaming crucible of liquid nitrogen every few months.
I should apply sunscreen every time I have any contact with the sun but
usually only apply it when I'm going to be at an outdoor event such as
Bonneville or El Mirage.
The dermatologist tells me that the spots he's now freezing with the
liquid nitrogen are from the times 60 years ago when I got sunburned as a kid.
I
tell him that omitting sunscreen today will take another 60 years to cause
pre-cancerous spots and I'll be long-gone by then.
