Anyone who likes cars will have a great time in the Speedway Museum.
There's something for everyone ... three floors of it. I went through last
May with a group of classic Lincoln continental owners. Bill Smith himself
conducted the tour. I hung around at the back with Bill Bernstrauch and he
video taped a twenty minute video for me. The museum wasn't finished then
but it was ready for the grand opening last January when John became the
curator. There's everything from prototype motors that NASCAR rejected to a
complete garage from behind some racers house with everything as they found
it ... after it had not been touched for years. Tether cars, sprint cars,
an old Indy Gasoline Alley garage front, over 500 kids pedal cars and some
fine quality customized cars. If you like cars and you don't find something
there you want to take home with you ... you're DEAD.

There is another collection in Kearny, NE I just heard about from Joe Law
that sounds like an interesting stop as well. Everything from pre 1970 cars
to farm machinery and I remember he said something about motorcycles. I-80
sounds like a great way to go home for you. If you don't mind an hour
detour the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg museum in Auburn, IN
(http://www.acdmuseum.org/ is well worth the detour as well. There's a
muscle car museum just behind the ACD as well. You could spend a day in
each place.
Check the internet for other recommendations.
