I finally wnet down to the shop and got back to work on the Studebaker. So how
do you know if progress is too slow? Hmmm - - - For one thing, if you go out
to finish some welding that you were doing, and you find an abandoned bird's
nest with a dried, broken, egg shell inside your welding helmet, you probably
have been goofing off too long.

At any rate, I finally got back to work on the car and cut, bent, and
fish-mouthed several pieces of cage and tacked them in place before the 102
f./96% humidity did me in.

Starting this weekend, I can modify my work schedule so that I can put a few
hours in on the car around midnight when it's a little cooler, and I hope to
have the cage pieced together, and the body back off by Monday. Hot or not, it
feels good to finally be making progress on the car again.

This damn job crap keeps cutting into my time! There's gotta be some way to
fund a Bonneville racer other than working - - - -isn't there? Other than a
Wendover casino!
