Jack, I'm going to pretend I didn't read that! But if
you must, Caterpillar used to sell break-in powder
added to a running engine. If Cat does not have it,
call Ted Wenz at Marcovicci-Wenz Engineering. I think
they know where to steer you. What ring/cylinder wall
finish combination are you using??
