I'll look in a couple of books I have on the Can-Am Series. Just from
(faulty) memory, I think it was a fairly early Can- Am car that used a
Chevy and (probably) a Hewland transaxle. Elvas were built in the UK.
I'll ask some friends at lunch today. One of them is a professional
automobile appraiser who has lots of experience with classic race cars.

I need a history lesson. I just got a '57 ? Elva in the shop to restore
the chassis, suspension & body. It is a CanAM style rear engine car.
