I agree Dave, stock parts should have to bolt up on a Production (PRO)
vehicle. However, pg. 62 says "Choices of camshafts, induction and
ignition are UNLIMITED" Cylinder heads are limited to original number
of valves and port configuration." (CPRO has some ignition, FI, and
Data Recording restrictions, though).

Notice "camshafts" is plural! Whether it was meant that way or not, it
is clear that you are free to relocate the cam or to even add cams. . .
the book says choices are UNLIMITED!! I believe Production is
restricted only to original number of valves and port config. You can
be very creative and still have stock parts bolt on :-)

This is very intriguing and I would like hear from the Tech Advisers and
others with their opinion. -Elon

(snip...) it should also explain the homemade heads issue as well in
production. As a minimum i would suspect the intake and exhaust
manifolds would have to bolt on from the original engine to not be a
swap of the cylinder heads. As such i believe it is not legal to run 18
degree SBC heads in production as the intake will not fit from the stock
23 degree head. Dave
