Glen, list ....... we all don't like to see cars thrown together as
they do
on Monster Garage, but the team did do a pretty fair job in a week. I kinda
thought Jesse wouldn't go 200, but also hoped he would !
Right now as I type this Monster Garage is on, it started at 6:00 EST
on the Discovery Channel, and of course at 7, 8, and 9 in time zones to the
west ....... In this one you will see a 200+ run : a video clip of my
youngest
son Darrell, who is part of the build team, on his best run at Speedweek 2000
....... 259.038, with the blower belt totally disintegrating just before the
last
timing light . Most of you guys have probably seen it before , maybe some
newbies here haven't . I did enjoy the build of the belly tanker better than
most episodes of this show, as it featured a build team of far greater
expertise
than usual ........ but I sure could have done without the "musical sideshow"
!
That superlong airstrip at Vandenburg is really a treasure that
beckons to all LSR racers ....... Imagine monthly speed trials there !
Back to catch the end of the show ( which we can watch anytime we
wish to on outr tape ) Mary Ann is glued to the set right now !
