I set about assembling my top end last night, only to find that the rings I
had set aside to match up with a new set of pistons are actually too wide for
the ring grooves! I've got two different types of pistons - both with narrow
grooves, one set of rings that are too fat, and two extra sets of rings on
backorder.
So it's back to bodywork while I get it sorted out.
