A while ago I got a call from an engineer who was working on a design
for an electronic torque wrench and needed some help on the sensor
electronics. That may have been the company who is manufacturing this
for Sears but I don't remember who it was. I probably shouldn't mention
the name if I do remember.

hand tool catalog. Who hasn't had the situation where a bolt needs
torque
but you can't get the torque-wrench into position. Usually, extenders
won't
work, and off-axis torque will give wrong readings. With this sensor you

use you imagination with any combination of ratchets and sockets.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the newer ratcheting-wrenches can be
used. They should have incorporated a hex as well as the 1/2" drive, so
either an open-end wrench or 1/2 drive ratchet could be used to apply
torque.
Since Sears doesn't manufacture anything, I imagine someone else makes
the
same or similar unit. Precision might be better in another brand. If you
