Bryan;

Remember that the movie only said "based on a true story"; it wasn't a
documentary.

1. I think the concrete block shed shop/kitchen/sleeping quarters was
accurate.
2. Taking nitro (glycerin, not methane) for heart problems is certainly
common enough.
3. The "issue" of registration was, I thought, that he didn't
PRE-register, which in the early 60's can't have been the bureaucratic
hassle the film made it out to be. I'd be happy to hear more
knowledgable comments on this. I'd like to know what the issue was with
not passing inspection also.
4. If nobody can answer the other questions, I'll forward them on to
John Munro. OTOH, some of the things that happened (or didn't) here may
have been embellished a bit when communicated to the "kids" back home.
So, ultimately, whether they happened or not, may be unproven by
reliable living witnesses.

And for those of you who live in sparsely populated areas and are
waiting for WFI to come to (or within 100 miles of) your town, let me
know what state you are in, and I'll see if the list John sent me has
some nearby towns scheduled for the film.
