Good point if you are making back-to-back runs, mid-week, when lines are
short. But I was assuming you would be in impound with a chance for it to
cool overnight! :-)

you are right---but I may need to change the hot water for ambient some time
also---it will be easy to do---i do have thermostat in the regular place and
I may need to put shut offs in the rear head outlets----

The thermostat will NOT open and allow any coolant OUT of the engine until
it gets to its opening temp. So why can't you warm up the engine until say
about 175 or 180 then turn it off?
