List,
This issue raises it's head every year post Speedweek to some degree or other.
Spurred on this season by rain shortened WOS & WF no doubt.
Let common sense prevail.

Not being able to license at Speedweek should not be considered. A large
percentage of racers only have the time, money and live a distance away to go
to this one event.

A third course has merit for preliminary licensing and short distance racecars
and warm-ups but certainly will require more work from volunteers. This may
ultimately come if entries continue to grow, but we're not there yet.
Speedweek ran superbly, just had to be patient in first two days. As old salts
say 'First chance to catch up with old acquaintances'. If you want more time
in the pool or waiting in shorter lines race later in the week. I go to race
and catch up with special friends.

Running a class/time schedule would only work if allocated time is exactly
right which could never be pre calculated and need constant altering and so
never work. Choosing your own time to get in line and race is the major thing
that creates the easy, pleasant, atmosphere of racing out on the salt, unlike
any other. This should never be lost.
