OK, according to Moroso, their pump "is designed to pull higher crankcase
vacuum. That in turn boosts power by improving ring seal(DD), preventing oil
blow by, intake charge contamination, and detonation, and allow the use of low
tension rings for less friction." "Also the vacuum sucks the pistons down the
bore"... OK, I threw that part in! LOL

Interestingly, they offer a 4 vane for dry sump and a 3 vane for wet sump...
I'd think it would be the other way around. Maybe their thinking is if you
are running dry sump, you're making serious HP and need more vacuum to
overcome blow by???

These pumps are nothing more than a precision version of the what JD used, a
smog pump. Early on that's just what us drag racers used before the after
market stepped up.

I have a feeling Speed Weeks is going to "suck a lot" next year!!! We may
create a localized low pressure area! LOL Me and my big mouth, couldn't keep a
speed secret, secret!

OK, Summit Racing part #'s

MOR-22641 4 vane pump, dry sump $399.95
MOR-22640 3 vane pump, wet sump $359.95

MOR-63845 SBC drive kit $131.95
MOR-63844 BBC drive kit $131.95

They also offer a variety of drive and driven pulleys if you want to suck
more or less.

If the pump inches you over the record, you owe me a Beer! LOL
