I agree-- I've long thought the best way to transport hydrogen as a motor
fuel is to attach it to carbon atoms.  There was some talk a while back
about research into attaching hydrogen to metal atoms (metal hydrides)  I
know we have small NMH batteries.  Haven't heard much media chatter on that
subject as related to propelling motor vehicles.
Imagine for a moment the demise of gasoline as a motor fuel.  Are we ready
for a whole new record classification for cars and bikes running straight
alcohol or alcohol mixes.  (c'mon, let's turn Warner into a chemist!!  I
visualize a whole trailer full of electronic gadgetry for fuel
analysis........)
