Well, just like most the others, my '99 Z71 just cranks on down on a cable
with a little metal plate, if you will, that holds the rim up. No fancy
gadgets to hold it up or anything. Of course I throw the flat in the bed, no
reason to wrestle it back in place when I'm going to have to get it replaced
anyway. Let the tire shop put my spare back :-)
