hey there all, i have a question. my '73 b has it's antenna on the right
fender. now my question arises because i have never seen another b with its
aerial there except once in a photo. that b also showed a european license
plate. now, i have the luggage rack that was less common in the states, though
regularly fitted on european sold cars. my question is this: is it possible to
find out if my car was originally bought/sold in europe? it's difficult to read
the car# because of a cheap re-paint job done by the po. also, the car was not
equipped with a radio, nor did it seem that it ever was (no wires running into
the doors). i know that during the 70's u.s. sanctions prohibited that radios
be transported while installed into the u.s. (god knows why). so, is there any
way to find out if my car is truly european? thanks for any info!
