What does that mean, "bad spline"? How can I be sure I need to replace =
my shocks? I found something curious: When I filled up the shock on =
the right hand side, put the cap back on, dropped the car, pushed on the =
fender a few times, brought the car back up and looked inside, the shock =
was empty again.

What does this mean?

Moss and Victoria sell a special Armstrong Lever Shock=20
Absorber oil. I used some in my 72 Midget and 3 out
of the 4 responded nicely (the 4th had a bad spline and
had to be replaced -- alas!). It's expensive, but hey!
Your LBC deserves only the best!
