Dear MG 1100 Fans,

Direct from the December 1995 Price Guide published by Old Cars. Prices
are quoted for '66 and '67 models and are the same for both years.

Category 6 5 4 3
2 1

2-door 200 720 1200 2400 4200
        6000

4-door 200 745 1250 2500 4340
        6200

It's interesting that the 4-door models are thought to be wortha few dollars
more. What sort of data they use to arrive at these prices can only be
imagined as I'm sure that their "sampling population" must be exceedingly
small.

#1 EXCELLENT is a 95+ point car; goes to shows in an enclosed trailer.

#2 FINE will take the prize unless there is a #1 at the show; tires may touch
the ground; extremely well restored or original specimen.

#3 VERY GOOD is a 20-footer (looks perfect from 20 feet away). Completely
operable original or older restoration. Worn pedal covers, good chrome
but "it may have lost its mirror-like reflective quality." Could be a
        partially restored car.

#4 GOOD is a drivable vehicle. Deteriorated restoration or very poor amateur
restoration. (Are they talking about us?) A driver; even from 20 feet
away, there's no doubt that it needs a lot of help.

#5 RESTORABLE means it needs a COMPLETE restoration of body, chassis, and
interior. Has some rust, but all the parts are there.

#6 PARTS CAR is a parts car.

So, those of us who paid more than $200 for drivable 1100's may be able
to take some solace here...

'59 English Ford 100E Squire Deluxe Estate (Excellent Original)
'67 MG 1100 Saloon (Runs & Drives)
'66 MG Midget (Really Nice)
'66 MG Midget (Solid Project Car)
