Wes - Something I didn't point out, As I understand it, if you were in
California and a creditor sent the sheriff to get everything in your restorers
shop you could loose your car. The only sure way to get it back would be if you
had filed a UCC 1 before the Sheriff got there. And I think most states are the
same.

Get the car now and at the first sign of resistance seek local counsel.

Something really strange is going on. My restorer was gone all weekend, =
no answering machine, nothing. I tried again yesterday and still no =
answer. Then, about 8 pm last night, I got through to his answering =
machine, which said that because of certain factors (unspecified), he =
was not taking calls. That if you had a car in his shop, leave a =
message and he would call back, if it was a personal call, leave a =
message and he would call back, if it was any other business or to make =
an appointment, he would NOT call back. I started to leave a message =
and he picked up. Apologized for being unavailable and said the car was =
available whenever I wanted it and that he was sick of dealing with "Cry =
babies". I knew he was temperamental and difficult to deal with, but I =
think he has been smelling the paint thinner a little too much.

I told him I would pick up the car the first day it didn't rain (which =
according to the Weather Channel will be just after the 12th of never.)
