Hi Everybody out there,
I finally received my new water pump today.
I already installed it, but the test drive wasn't successful. After a few
minutes of
driving the water temperature reached the red zone.I let the car cool down and
then
opened the expansion tank. It was under high presssure and emptied the water
over the
engine.Fortunately a friend towed me back home.
What did I do wrong ?
- Coolant was in the expansion tank before I started the engine
- Belts are OK (water pump must work)
Could it be the themostat ?
Please give advice.
