yes.  a mechanic at university motors in grand rapids was most emphatic
that a fuel filter BEFORE the pump is a great thing to do.  but if you do
this to your mga, make sure to also run a ground wire as the metal tubing
from the tank is what currently grounds the tank to the frame.
