        Well, Joey, you sound a lot smarter than to have an MG for
transportation.  That aside, you might try some sort of penetrating oil
on the mirror screw and let it sit for several days.  Once the screw is
buggered up, you are done.
        The wheels can be made to look like new w/ out a lot of expense. 
You can have them dismounted and sandblasted and then you can repaint
them.  If they are wire wheels, use extra caution that no sand ends up in
the spline area.  If they are disc or "Rostyle" wheels, you can do all of
the above but you should obtain a painting mask from Victoria British or
Moss or someone.  The Eastwood Co. sells a bunch of restoration stuff,
including a gray wheel paint that works very well.  Call them @
1-800-345-1178 and they will send you a free catalog.  You are in for a
long weekend but it will make a world of difference in the appearance.
