In a message dated 97-04-19 15:32:09 EDT, you write:

<< I've been told
that there is a Delco Remy that bolts in (well almost) and is a one wire
 hook up. >>

Tom:

Just keep in mind that if you go to the one-wire unit, you will lose the
function of the alternator light on the dash. This may or may not be
important to you. I don't think these units ever came stock on any car, they
are after market items, very popular with the street rod crowd. They can be
purchased from most of the major parts suppliers, but they are very expensive
compared to the standard Delco Remy.

>From an electrical standpoint, the standard unit is not hard to hook up. I
have one in my TR6, but the wiring for an MG is virtually the same. If you
want to go this route, e-mail me, and I will send you back wiring directions.

BTW, where is Sale Creek, TN?
