Strange Days Indeed

I left to drive back to school last night at about 7 pm. Heading east, I
had a beautiful sunset in my rear view mirror and an almost full moon
dead ahead. Temp was a nice 65-70. Stopped at a drive-in for a little
greasy road food. A waitress on rollerskates zipped out of the kitchen,
caught the MG out of the corner of her eye, and stared in awe as she
forgot about the task at hand, running into a pole.

Left the drive-in and headed south. I had about 90 miles until I arrived
at school, and I was thoroughly entertained by the smell of the pine
trees, the warm wind, and the bright moon overhead. 10 miles out I could
begin to smell the ocean on the gulf breezes. All too soon, I was safely
within the limits of Hattiesburg.
