I have been an SCCA judge and member of a Concours d'Elegance Board of
Directors for nearly 20 years. I never put a car into a show to be judged,
only as exhibit only. Why? Because it takes too much fun out of the event
for me and puts it into a competitive mode that just isn't me. You drive
them, or you show them for trophies. So, do you want furniture or fun? I am
delighted that there are folks out there who want to show, but it is a
different ball game for each group. It sounds like you want to drive the TD.
That's what they were made for IMHO. I drive my TF daily and my MBZ 300SL
and 300 C often. None of them is a Concours car.
