Aron,
I'm glad somebody else noticed this about white cars. What's the
attraction? White shows dirt and pollution staining terribly, and
even if you buff and wax it to within an inch of it's life, you just
can't see reflections in it from more than a few feet. To me, part
of the joy of a good polishing is sighting down the bodywork and
being able to read the labels of the cans on the garage shelves!
As for red being passe, I remember watching the Barrett-Jackson
auction on Speedvision, and the announcers were joking about so many
of the cars being painted "resale red". It really has gotten
ridiculous.
A disclaimer is called for here. I still want to paint mine
metallic or pearlescent dark green with pale chrome-green flames
coming out of the chrome grille and headlight retainers, so it's
entirely possible that my wife is right that all of my taste in in my
mouth!

Uggh!)
