I would send the M/C to Apple Hydraulics or White Post Restorations and have
it brass sleeved.  They will put in a rebuild kit if you like or you can put
the kit in.  The brass will not pit as does the cast iron bore as moisture
accumulates in the bore of the cylinder.  Once you have had it sleeved, you
will probably be able to put in rebuild kits from then on.
