Ahh, yes maybe with the later model this is all true, but I have the
electrical unit which was installed up through 1971.  There is an
electro-mechanical sender at the end of that braided hose from behind
the distributor.  Out of it comes a white/brown wire that runs directly
to the electrical oil pressure gauge.  The strictly mechanical units
with the oil lines running to the dash came along in the following year.
