I drove into an unmarked So.CT.GasCo hole in the road night before
last. The engine moved forward and the fan carved arcs through the
radiator. Am having the radiator re-cored, but need a fan. May also need
a tire and a wheel. Gas company agreed to reimburse expenses, and the
hole was filled within two hours of my phone call.
Does anyone within driving range (UPS Strike is so convenient) of New
Haven, CT have an extra fan to fit a '72 MGB?
Question--at this point the engine appears to be in proper place. The
motor mounts are straight up and down, they are not oil-deteriorated and
everything looks OK. Are there measurements or other ways of making sure
that the engine is where it belongs?
