Yes and no. The pumps are dead simple but the size of press you would
need to pull them apart and then press back together is pretty expensive
and you wouldn't need it for much else. And the little parts you need
are no more than a few dollars when purchesed in lots of 50...

One other thing on cast iron pumps. Some of them had bake-o-lite or some
other type of plastic impeller. If all else fails and the car still
overheats, it might behoove you to go ahead and yank the pump. You may
find that the plastic impeller has erroded and is now reseting
comfortably up against the front cylinder.
