I've seen a couple at the shows. Both of the folks that I talked to (DIY 
restorers)
didn't think they would do it again. The holes and fitments were more trouble 
than they
anticipated. They said, to do it right, is that you have to move everything 
over to the
new shell, make sure everything fits, then take it all back off to paint the 
shell.

The results looked very, very nice, of course, but there was a lot of fiddling 
to get
them there.

Suppose you sold your car for a fair price, added $3,500 to the pot, then added 
$2,000
more dollars for a nice paint job. With that much money, once again, you can 
buy a very
nice over-restored 'B' to play with. Once again it is cheaper to buy someone 
elses
restoration. And, since they made 500,000 'B's, there will always be a supply 
of pretty
nice cars.
