My car is far from pristine so it has had sill work, but
the main thing I notice is a lot of vertical slack
in the door.

If I close it as is, it closes very roughly because the
bottom of the door grinds on the sill. But I can "lift"
the door while closing it and it works fine.

Basically, with the door open, I can rock the door
on it's hinges so the end moves as much as an inch
or two, with somewhere in the middle being where I
have to hold it to close the door smoothly.

It's as if the pinion in the hinge is broken or extremely
loose, but I am hoping to have some spares on hand for when
I try to get the current hinges out, because I fear because
of the age and condition I may break them taking them
out.

I might be able to insert an oversize pin or spark a bit
of weld onto it to pad it up, but these are things I want
to have spares around before I play with. ;>

  Thanks!
