Generally speaking, no. You might be able to use a fine mesh steel
window screen, But I thnik it would take quite a fine touch with the
torch to get the temperature right to flow the lead without allowing it
to run through. It might work OK if it was laid over a mostly solid
surface where the holes were less than 1/2" diameter. Never tried it,
just a guess.
