The last time I bought a new SU for my '74B (last summer) it cost me around
$80. I had purchased a new one before that in 1989 for $63. So, I got 8
trouble free years out of the first one at less than $10 a year. Not too bad.
I'd suggest just buying a new SU. It's easier. Plus, they're built for your
car.
