Frankly, I was surprised to find that there wasn't a MG newsgroup. 
Usenet was the first place I looked.  I would welcome such a NG in
addition to this list, not as a replacement.

  I'm a model airplane hobbyest.  There are several modeling NGs and
Email lists which seem to co-exist OK.  Spam is not a major problem on
these NGs.

  So, I vote aye!
