G'day all,
my GT disgraced itself by refusing to start on saturday evening. Lorna
and I had to go to the wedding reception in her Honda, (most
embarrasing). It was quite a different sort of wedding; the guests were
all admiring cars in the hotel parking lot and exchanging car parts.
The groom was also outside admiring a very nice MGA that a club member
had restored for a client. Luckily the bride also has an MGB so I,m sure
she understood ;-)
It turns out that my starting problem was due to a weak battery.
Rather suprising as I had just driven it to the petrol station and back
about 15 minutes before the aforementioned starting failure. I cleaned
the battery connections, topped up the battery and it seems fine now.
I saw a couple of LBCs on my local freeway in the last 2 days. Sunday
I saw a very nice red Mini with a sunroof, right hand drive and UK
plates. They were a 'G' reg; any UK lister know what year that would
be? This morning I met a woman commuting in a green MGB, (69?). Good
to see some LBCs around.
