Hello Sam,

According to Clausager, the coupe accounted for 9.8% of the MGA production.
It breaks down thusly:

1500 coupe: -- 6,272
1600 coupe: -- 2,736
1600 mkII coupe: -- 521
Twin Cam coupe: -- 323
1600 De Luxe coupe: -- 12
1600 mkII De Luxe coupe: -- 23

Total Coupe Production: -- 9,887

The high-water mark was in 1957 when they rolled out 4,104, or 41% of the
total coupe production. In the calendar year 1959, they built and delivered
the coupe in 1500, Twin Cam, and 1600 guises.

The rarest bird in the MGA covey is the 1600 De Luxe coupe. They were using
up the old Twin Cam chassis by putting pushrod engines and de luxe trim in
them. In 1960 one (1) example was prepared in left hand drive for export,
and in 1961 one (1) copy was made in LHD for North American Export. I
wonder where they are now?
