Barney,

For what it's worth, whn I discovered that the original motor for my MGA
heater was inop, I grabbed a spare heater motor with fan that was
sitting on my "junk" shelf.  It came from an MGB, but I couldn't tell
you the year.  Probably fairly late since the fan cage was plastic.  

Fit fine, worked fine.  Only difference I could see was a slightly
different fan cage configuration.
