No modem is compliant with both X2 and K56FLEX.  An older 56K modem that
hasn't been upgraded will be either X2 or K56FLEX, but not both.  A newer
56K modem or an older one that has been upgraded will be either V.90 and
X2, or V.90 and K56FLEX, but not all three.  The only way an ISP can
provide both X2 and K56FLEX support is to have seperate pools of modems
for each.

The originator of this thread said he has a V.90 modem, so he needs an ISP
with V.90 modems.  It doesn't matter if the ISP's modems are the V.90/X2
variety or the V.90/K56FLEX variety.
