Michael,

Your best bet would be to go to your bank and get a draft in pounds sterling, 
your bank most likely will charge you about $10 for this if you are a 
customer.  If not they most likely will charge you about $25.  

There are several ways to ship from the US to the UK, but there are less ways 
to ship back from the UK.  Your best bet would be standard express, which 
will get it to you within about a 3-5 days.  It will require a signature on 
the receiving end.    This would also be insured.  You could also just use 
regular airmail and that will take about a week or so for a small package 
which the K & N's would be I would think.  Have him mark the package as a 
gift that should solve your duty problems.
