A friend of mine once formulated the Rule of Sports Cars. This was when 
he was restoring a TR3 and driving a Fiat Spyder, with a 1964 Dodge Dart 
convertible for backup. It went something like "In a two sports car 
household, the probability is that only one sports car will be operable 
at any given time. Should both sports cars become simultaneously 
operable, any other vehicles in the household will spontaneously 
malfunction. The converse, however, is not true -- just because one or 
more vehicles is malfunctioning does not ensure that the remaining 
vehicle or vehicles will not malfunction."
