I am considering replacing he oil pump on my MGA. The car has a 3 main
bearing 1800 MGB motor. It typically runs low on oil pressure, and
since the bearings were replaced less than 10,000 miles back, I figure
it must be the pump. So, here is the question - is there a high
capacity or high pressure oil pump for these cars?? I see that APT
parts lists pinto oil pumps, and I don't think they deal with a lot of
pinto stuff. Anyone got suggestions here, or should I just get a new
stock pump from one of the bigger suppliers (they are cheaper thatn APT
on this one).
