"What was the question again???"

"Are open stock rethreading dies available???"

The initial thread started out by how to resurrect damaged or
cruddy spark
plug holes, and that thread chasers, rethreading taps, should be
used over threading taps.

Some where in a thread, someone asked where they could get thread
chassers as Sears didn't have them. I responded that they could
be purchased as a set but not open stock.

"Open stock", as used by Sears when I worked for them, meant a
single individual piece could be purchase as opposed to
purchasing a set to get the item. The Sears thread chasers
aren't available individually as opposed to the taps and dies.
The chasers aren't available as "open stock" while the taps are
available as "open stock." I suppose the term originated from
"opening a set and stocking the bins."
